There are no words to describe....

....how wonderful the concert was last night.

God morgon everyone, it´s late morning in a very rainy Gothenburg but the sun is still shining in my little world as I think back to last night´s show. It was even better than I thought or hoped it would be: a perfect night. Terrific singing and playing by Salem and his always excellent band, and an outstanding accompaniment by the musicians of the GSO, under the direction of the fabulous Hans Ek, who of course worked with Salem on his Berwaldhallen shows.

I will post a full review when I get back home, but in the meantime here is the set list, which I scribbled down as the show went on...

Astronaut
It's Only You Part II
This Is Who I Am
Twelve Fingers
Brooklyn Sun
Cold Shower
4O'Clock
Roxy

Interval

Good Song
Solsbury Hill
One Of The Others
Dream Girl
It's True
Keep On Walking
Thank You

And yes, it really was like a "greatest hits" set which I particularly appreciated as a lot of my old favourites were in there - you know what they are by now :)

Anyway there is one more thing I need to tell you - yes, I got the opportunity to meet Salem again at the show - he was as lovely as ever and I´ll tell you more about it when I get back home!

If you were at the show last night I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. It was a really appreciative audience in the Konserthuset and I thought the roof was going to come off when they played "Keep On Walking" - this may now have taken over from "It's True" as the crowd-pleaser!

Finally, if you were at the show, please leave your comments and let me know what you thought about last night. It was a fantastic experience and the best concert I've ever seen - even better than the last time I saw him live, 11 months ago.

Tack så mycket Salem and the GSO for a marvellous evening!!

It was absolutely wonderful. I was completely filled with joy, and did not really know what to make of it, I just wanted to stand up and jump around and dance. It was magic! Thanks to Salem and everyone else who made the evening so wonderful.

Wow... that sounds fantastic, Laura :) Thanks for sharing. I wasn't there but I wish I'd been (but at least I'm gonna go to Berns in May).
Looking forward to hearing more from your Gothenburg adventure!
Best regards

It was awesome last night!
Salem and GSO were incredible!!

Laura, did you see that girl/woman that Salem seemed to be very fond of?
With looooong blonde hair, a sweet purple dress and very beautiful?
Me and my friend Jackie was at Bengans on Wednesday to see Salem there, and that girl came in after the show, talking to him and gave he something in a bag. He smiled so sweet at her, took her hand and the crew seemed to know her too.
Maybe nothing special but two times in a row...?? ;-)
Maybe a secret girlfriend...?
Just curious, and you seem to know much about him....

Johannes - I'm so glad you enjoyed the show. Did you have a good seat? (I was in the 5th row from the front and had a great view of the stage). It was indeed a magical evening.

Fredrik - Yes it was incredible!! And yes, "Solsbury Hill" - what a lovely surprise that was too. I hope you get your chance to see Salem - he'll be doing many more live dates over the summer so maybe he'll play near where you live (I really hope so). It will be well worth waiting for :)

Eva - It was a terrific concert and you are really in for a treat when you see Salem at Berns. He is a fantastic live performer, and Gothenburg was just perfection. I had hoped to post my review tonight but it will probably be tomorrow before I get it on the blog as I'm a bit tired from all my travelling today :(

Sophie - very interesting! I don't know who this could be. Of course there were many beautiful girls with long blonde hair at the show - my boyfriend also noticed this :))

Sorry,, but I don't know if Salem has a girlfriend at the moment or not, but if he does I think we would all agree that she would be the luckiest lady in the world ;)) and of course Salem deserves to have a very nice girl to share his life with!

Of course Salem deserves that!
Many blondes in Sweden huh...? :-)
Maybe...
But she was so beautiful that both me and Jackie were a little bit jealous... ;) Her hair was really really long, I mean faaaaar down her back. So sweet... *jealous sigh*
And Salems smile when he saw her... I believe she took pictures when her friend got her CD all signed up by S. She didn´t really stay in that line down stairs.
I can´t help being so curious... :-)
