Over 60,000 "like" Salem on Facebook!

A few days ago, Salem finally reached the total of 60,000 fans on his Facebook page, which is a great achievement, so congratulations to all the "Facebookers" who continue to support Salem over there.

Are you all missing Salem as much as I am? Of course it won't be long until Dalhalla, which is just a few weeks away. Don't forget to book your tickets at https://sale.se.iticket.com/Sale/ShowRequestedArrangement.iticket?pCompanyId=3200&pArrangementId=364

Soon 60,000...

Just noticed that Salem has reached the grand total of 59,000 fans on Facebook and is already heading towards the magic number of 60,000!

If you are reading this and you're on Facebook, get along to www.facebook.com/salemalfakir and click the 'Like' button if you haven't already done so.

In other news, you can still listen to Salem's Klubb Molto gig at http://sverigesradio.se/sida/artikel.aspx?programid=4067&artikel=4475188 which should be available on the SR archive for the next three to four weeks.

Right, that's all for now. I'm now on holiday and will be going to Pisa in Italy for a few days spring break. Planet Salem will return on Monday 9th May. If there is any big news about Salem between now and then, please let me know!

56,000 fabulous Facebook fans!

Yes, tonight the number of Salem's fans on Facebook hit the total of 56,000!

And hopefully many, many more to come....

Facebook update

Salem's Facebook-fans total reached 53,000 today.

If you have a Facebook account and haven't already done so, get over to Salem's Facebook page www.facebook.com/salemalfakir and become a fan! As you know, that's the only place where Salem directly communicates with the fans so it's a good way to show your support.

Salem now has 52,000 fans on Facebook!

That is great news. And the numbers continue to grow....

Rockbjörnen Live: two nominations....and Facebook's fabulous 50,000!

Stort grattis Salem!!!!!

Great news today, as Salem has been nominated in two categories - Best Swedish Male Live Artist and Best Swedish Song of the Year ("Keep On Walking") in this year's Aftonbladet Rockbjörnen Live awards.

Full list of nominees at http://www.aftonbladet.se/nojesbladet/musik/rockbjornen2010/article7622790.ab and I've also written a post about the nominees at my other blog EuropeCrazy: http://europecrazy.blogspot.com/2010/08/rockbjornen-live-and-nominees-are.html

And even more great news today as the total number of fans at Salem's Facebook fan page reached the fabulous total of 50,000!

The numbers are going up...

Today the total of Salem fans on Facebook reached 43,000.....it's only a matter of time till it reaches the magic 50,000!

I still don't know how many of the Facebook-fans are aware of the existence of Planet Salem, so I'd really appreciate it if someone could maybe give this blog another mention on the Facebook wall (Eva....I know you previously did this, but if you or someone else could do this again, especially as there are more and more fans there!).

The reason is that I would like this blog to reach as wide an audience as possible so that we can all keep spreading the word about Salem's brilliant music, and keep building the international fanbase. Planet Salem already has a very dedicated readership and I just want it to grow and grow.

Thanks for all your help!

40,000 - the magic number!

Today the number of Salem fans on his Facebook fan page reached the grand total of 40,000.

Örnsköldsvik tomorrow!

Salem will be returning to Ö-vik tomorrow - the home of his Melodifestivalen triumph back in February! He and his band will be playing the annual 'Sjunde i Sjunde Klockan Sju' concert organised by Tidningen 7 magazine. (Promo picture above courtesy of http://www.webben7.se/)

More information at http://www.webben7.se/2624-arets_sjunde_i_sjunde_klockan_sju.aspx

Get along to Strandparken tomorrow night! The show starts of course at 7 o'clock (in the evening) - sorry I couldn't resist that little joke! - it should be an amazing show and best of all, it's free - so maybe Salem will win even more new fans!

Whilst I'm on the subject of new fans, I noticed that almost 3000 new fans have joined Salem's Facebook fan page in the last 3/4 days. This is great news, isn't it! I wondered if there was any particular reason for this - or is it just that everyone is finally beginning to appreciate his brilliant musical talent?

Also I thought I'd mention that Planet Salem's Swedish and international readership continues to grow, and this blog is now being read in all parts of the world. It doesn't matter where you come from, you are all very welcome as we all have one thing in common - we all love Salem!

Now over 35,000 fans on Facebook!

Today Salem's Facebook fan page has reached the grand total of 35,000 fans.

This is brilliant news!!
