A couple of pictures from the Stavanger show

Courtesy of the Rogalands Avis newspaper, here are a couple of pictures from Salem's live show in Stavanger last night, although I haven't been able to find any reviews yet.
Just one question....will Salem's "big hair" ever return? I hope so!!!!

Hello!

First of all I want to thank you for a fantastic blog. I just found it, and I'm reading everything from the first post til the last.

Second I just wanted to tell you about the Stavanger-gig Salem Al Fakir did in May, because I thought you might be interested in hearing about it. (Really, it sounds like you'd be interested in anything about Salem =) )

Well, the concert was great. I was there, standing in the first line (lucky me!). The gig took place on Stavanger's biggest concert stage, Folken, which takes about 600-700 people. And the place was stuffed with people! The concert was not sold out, I think, but I estimate that there were about 500 people present - And that is a lot! It was one of the most visited concerts under the Maijazz festival.

The concert itself was everything you have ever read and imagined about Salem, and more. I can't really explain it, you'll have to see him yourself and make up your own opinion. I strongly recommend you go to Sweeden and see him, it's definitely worth the money:)

Well, I just wanted to inform you. My point, really, was that Salem almost managed to fill up Stavangers largest concert stage - and it takes a great artist to do that - one such as Salem Al Fakir.

Greetings from Norway and a great Salem Al Fakir fan!

Hi there!

Thanks for your lovely comments and your great review. Of course I'm interested in any news/reviews I can find out about Salem, and I was very excited to read your review.

You were very lucky indeed to be in the front row, I'm so jealous :)))

500 people - that was a good audience considering that I don't think he is too well known in Norway (correct me if I'm wrong) so hopefully he's gained many more fans with his Stavanger show.

From what I've seen on the internet he is a terrific live artist. Of course I would love to see him play live - I still hope that he will come over here to the UK, but if not it will have to be a trip to Sweden I guess...!

Glad you like the blog. (I also did lots of posts about Salem from July 2007 to November 2007 on my other blog EuropeCrazy, and I was writing so much about him I thought he deserved a fansite).

Keep on reading and visiting, hopefully I will have much more news to report over the next few months.
